Frequently Asked Questions about Kybella

What causes a double chin?

“Double chins” are most frequently a natural result of aging. As you age, you lose muscle mass, gain fat more easily, and the muscles around your neck weaken, causing your skin to grow loose. A double chin occurs when a subcutaneous sheet of fat around your neck begins to sag.

What is Kybella?

How does Kybella work?

KYBELLA® is a non-human and non-animal formulation of deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
